Your Coach and Trainer

“Health is the Greatest Wealth”

My personal values have formed guidelines that have shaped how I coach and determined what I expect of myself and my team. I have set my standards high and lead by example. It is my objective to educate, motivate you and hold you accountable for achieving your goals.

My coaching philosophy has been lifelong in its development and has evolved dramatically throughout my career. I have an extensive experience base and have faced many personal and professional challenges. These events have tested my strength, courage, and resilience and shaped my uniqueness as a coach and trainer. I practice what I preach and take great pride in being a good role model for my clients and children.

Years of diverse and tough training have built a strong work ethic and instilled discipline within me. I have successfully competed in various events, including Ultra Marathons, Ultra Beast Obstacle events, Triathlons and Body Building competitions. The challenge of incorporating a demanding training program into my busy lifestyle excites me. And pushing myself to be in the best possible physical and mental state to attack life keeps me motivated.

While I’ve been an athlete since childhood and a coach for more than 20 years, I never stop learning. I continue to work with my mentor, who challenges me to be better every day. Honestly, I continually learn from everyone around me. I canvass the thoughts and ideas of coaches I work with and the trainers I’ve worked alongside.

If I had to choose just one practice that I applied to every child or adult I have coached over the last 20 years, it would have to be to “FOCUS ON ABILITY” and build on that. I have gained a wealth of priceless experience through coaching a broad spectrum of clients. From Elite Dancers, Gymnasts and Professional Athletes to people with physical and cognitive impairments and newcomers to exercise. Every client has provided me with a unique experience.

People management is one of my greatest strengths; I understand the clients I am working with and can identify an individual’s strengths and weaknesses. This is our baseline; from here, we build on physical and mental strengths, working to shore up areas that are not as strong. I strive to develop high self-esteem in all my athletes by accepting them for exactly who they are. I believe a person will seldom, if ever, outperform his or her self-image.

A fundamental element of my coaching philosophy is having you take ownership, direction and investing completely into the process. The process won’t work unless you do. Attitude is critical and is the catalyst for success. You’ll have to make some sacrifices, develop new habits and make them your life.

The key to securing permanent, positive change and maintaining a better quality of life is ensuring that nutrition and exercise are prioritised and become the foundation of your lifestyle. We will continually revisit your goals as the process and you evolve. I will ask tough questions and expect the tough answers, but I am impartial and will never judge you. Taking a look at the hard stuff is essential for growth to take place. This is crucial to your individual development and our development as a united team.

We’re all unique, and no one way will work for everyone. So whether we’re talking about food prep, exercise, time management or life skills, we will keep things as simple as possible. The focus will always be to remove confusion and pressure, allowing you to function at your best consistently. Being able to identify your areas of growth each week is important. I want you to be proud of yourself and your achievements.

Let me educate, encourage and support you on your way to your personal best, regardless of your fitness level. I’ll get to know you and go that extra mile to help you move past self-imposed limitations, enabling you to accomplish things you thought were never possible.

Your success is my priority.
